Peace & Security
The prevalence of peace is considered as a prerequisite for the human survival. Without peace and security the citizens are unable to perform their own activities on a daily basis. The Institute strives to advocate and sustain the peace and security in the Horn African region and Somaliland, while on the other hand aspires to mitigate the lingering conflicts and security dilemmas in the Horn of Africa through research and other means that could cross fertilize ideas and experiences those remained in the region.
In addition, the Institute preserves the national security of Somaliland through ethical research and policies that actually essential to the national interest and avoiding the tragic vision of politics while encouraging in maintaining endogenous methods and traditional knowledge of facilitation and conflict resolution and also advocating non-violent transformation of conflicts and reconciliation.
Therefore, in bringing to light that war and the fear of war have been by far the most powerful among the influences that have shaped the image of the Horn over the past six decades. It is the central idea of this Institute that the history of the use and threat of force should be substituted to cooperation and collaboration in terms of politics and economics.
